Getting to Chan Chich Lodge
There are there are three straightforward ways to arrive Chan Chich Lodge.
An arranged road transfer with our resort vehicles, a charter flight, or driving yourself in a rental car. Whichever you choose, our reservations team is happy to help you plan the journey. Since we are on a private reserve, if you come on your own gate access must be arranged ahead of your arrival.

Road Transfer
The road journey from Philip Goldson International Airport takes about 2.5-3 hours, nonstop. The final stretch in is unpaved, which is simply part of the adventure of reaching a lodge this far into the rainforest.
We arrange transfers around your actual international flight times. If you're coming from somewhere else in Belize, just send our team your location, dates, and party details, and we'll confirm the route and timing with you directly.
Rates from the Philip Goldson International Airport are $125 pp. one way + taxes, with a minimum of 2 guests to book this.

Charter Flight
If you're short on time, a charter flight is the fastest way to the lodge. It’s about 25 minutes from Philip Goldson International Airport to the Gallon Jug airstrip, followed by a 15-minute drive to the lodge, roughly 45 minutes door to door. Charter flights leave right from Belize’s international airport.
Flying in gives you a beautiful view over the rainforest canopy along the way.
Rates generally start at $1200 per charter for 2 guests but vary depending on the size of your group.
Once you share your international flight details, party size, and luggage needs with our reservations team, they'll confirm the cost, aircraft, connection time, and whether your whole group can travel together.
Driving Yourself
If you'd like the flexibility of your own vehicle, you're welcome to drive in a rental car. We recommend four-wheel drive and National and Enterprise are our two recommended providers.
Comprehensive car insurance is also recommended for your rental.
The route to the lodge crosses private land & access will be arranged before your arrival. Your booking confirmation is your entry permit. Show it at the gate, printed or on your phone.
The gate is open from 6am to 6pm. If you expect to arrive outside that window, or your flight is delayed, let us know as soon as possible so we can help make arrangements.
Please note that while personal vehicles are permitted to get to the lodge, they are not permitted on tour trails.

We'd recommend following our own routes below rather than a map app's automatic directions, since some suggested alternates use roads that aren't well suited to the drive in.
From Philip Goldson International Airport

From Western Belize
From Spanish Lookout, leave the Western Highway at the roundabout, continue past Iguana Creek Bridge, and take Iguana Creek Road. Allow about one hour and twenty minutes from Spanish Lookout.
