As the afternoon light begins to soften, journey into the heart of the Maya Forest to one of Chan Chich's most peaceful hidden gems: Laguna Verde. A natural spring-fed lagoon approximately four miles north of the lodge.

This emerald-green lagoon offers a completely different perspective of the rainforest. Along the drive, your guide will keep watch for wildlife, often stopping when opportunities arise to observe birds, mammals, or other forest inhabitants. While wildlife sightings are always a possibility, this experience is designed to celebrate the beauty and tranquility of the lagoon itself.

Upon arrival, you'll have time to paddle a canoe through the calm waters, quietly exploring the shoreline where birds often gather among the surrounding vegetation. As the sun begins to set, settle in with a selection of local Belizean beer and light tapas while the lagoon reflects the changing colours of the evening sky.

Few places in Belize offer a more peaceful way to end the day. After approximately three hours immersed in nature, you'll return to the lodge just in time for dinner.
